Prevention of COVID-19
We kindly advise you to stay informed in order to make fact-based decisions for yourself, your families and your companies.
As you are aware, there is high attention by the local authorities to the novel coronavirus outbreak and strict measures have been taken to prevent the spread of virus. People will be blocked from entering and leaving Hong Kong.
All restaurants and bars can only take out food, not all meals, all restaurants / shopping malls / super Markets / markets / shops, etc. are only open until 8 p.m., all public transportation agencies including buses and MTR are only available until 9 p.m., all overnight transportation will be suspended tonight.
Also HKSAR government announced that all civil servants will not be required to return to their offices but work at home, and appealed to employers in the private sector to introduce flexible work arrangements.
Additionally, follow the suggested precautionary measures:
- Work from home, if possible until further notice
- All people arriving in Hong Kong should work from home for 14 days
- Avoid business travel
- When coming to the office, wear masks on commutes and clean hands directly after entering the office
- Social distancing
- Reschedule meetings to video conference calls
- Show courtesy to other people
