A partnership between Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and Danish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (DCC) seeks to provide Danish students under the GLOBE Program with an opportunity for employment at DCC member companies in Hong Kong for a 3-month period from early/mid May to early/mid August every year.
This partnership provides an opportunity for Danish students to be exposed to Asian/Chinese business culture in Hong Kong, popularly known as Asia’s World City, while working at a Danish affiliated company operating in International markets. The objective is to allow the students to gain first-hand work experience in real-life business settings which they can relate to the academics taught in the GLOBE Program.
The GLOBE Program is a collaboration between CUHK, CBS and Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, offering a unique global business curriculum to prepare undergraduate students for a future career as global managers.
Danish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is a non-profit organization of companies in HK with affiliation to Denmark. Many of the companies are subsidiaries of Danish companies headquartered in Denmark. With this partnership with CUHK and CBS, DCC wants to provide an opportunity to promote Hong Kong’s unique and exciting business environment to future leaders and help develop their individual talent.
Employment of the Danish students in Hong Kong will be subject to obtaining employment visa from Hong Kong’s Department of Immigration. CUHK and the DCC member company will assist to obtain the required employment visa.
